Hi Paul,
got the clamps...beautiful clamps THANKS! I especially like the different wood used for the levers...what is that by the way? Anyway, thanks for the great clamps.

Thanks Dave. That is Lyptus. It's some sort of hybrid of Euclyptus and someting harder and more stable. Not all of the clamps got contrasting cams. But I thought it would be nice for your set to be "complete" with all the same woods. I'm still experimenting with what I like best and what works best.

Hey Paul,
I got mine yesterday, and they are the best clamps I own now. Beautiful job. Also got the plans for the neck tenon jig. Great job, my friend.

Paul,
I really appreciated that "elyptus" cam. I have to take special care of my special clamps. THANKS AGAIN!

Ah, the vintage look. Yes, I was going for the pre-war martin look on the clamps.
Truth be told, I had a LOT of them to finish and mixing up a couple of quarts of shellac was much cheaper than anything from the store. So that's what I used. And if you ever want to hit them with something else, it will stick to the shellac.
