Hi Paul, got the clamps...beautiful clamps THANKS! I especially like the different wood used for the levers...what is that by the way? Anyway, thanks for the great clamps. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks Dave. That is Lyptus. It's some sort of hybrid of Euclyptus and someting harder and more stable. Not all of the clamps got contrasting cams. But I thought it would be nice for your set to be "complete" with all the same woods. I'm still experimenting with what I like best and what works best. |

Hey Paul, I got mine yesterday, and they are the best clamps I own now. Beautiful job. Also got the plans for the neck tenon jig. Great job, my friend. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ah, the vintage look. Yes, I was going for the pre-war martin look on the clamps. ![]() Truth be told, I had a LOT of them to finish and mixing up a couple of quarts of shellac was much cheaper than anything from the store. So that's what I used. And if you ever want to hit them with something else, it will stick to the shellac. |
